Question by norkalax20: is it possible to transfer a computer virus from a PS3 to a laptop through your cable modem?
someone is trying to convince me that i am responsible for giving my laptop a virus because i use the same cable modem as my laptop. i unhook it and everything before i hook it back up to my PS3 or my laptop.

PS3’s or any Gaming system can not GET a virus. Even when you connect for online play, you are connecting directly to the gameing server and I dont think Microsoft or Sony would have viruses on there servers. And you could not GIVE your ps3 a virus. It does not use the same operating system that a computer has. So even if you TRIED to give it one, it wouldnt work. Whoever said that is an idiot…
