My laptop is always under attack it seems! (not my home computer, just the laptop- so odd)
Right now I am recieving messages that I may have a virus, but I do not want to purchase anything….I can’t, I have not funds to do so.

It seems in these questions people simply bombard you with names of programs without explaining them, and you don’t know what to choose. The programs I suggest here will be perfectly capable at both removing any malware on your computer and keeping you safe in the future, assured:
It is best to download a main anti-virus program, as well as one or two anti-spyware programs for the best protection -
The best free anti-virus program out there at the moment is called Avast! Anti-Virus. It has a wide range of features, very good reviews and is the most trusted free anti-virus software.
AVG is also a good free anti-virus program, although it does not have as many features as Avast e.g. no rootkit protection. You can’t go wrong with either one though, so see which you like (i personally recommend Avast).
As well as an anti-virus program, it is good to download anti-spyware programs to run alongside it. I would advise firstly you download Ad-Aware Free Anniversary Edition. This helps to stop spyware and other nasties, is free, and has live-protection.
Finally, I advise you download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as well, as this is a very good free program that has an excellent reputation at removing malware.
Make sure you enable Live Protection on Ad-Aware. That way you have anti-virus with live protection, anti-spyware with live protection, and another anti-spyware that you can use to scan your computer occasionally just to keep it clean.
The ultimate protection plan list is therefore:
Anti-Virus
-Avast! (free) http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-…
or
-AVG (free) http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-vi…
Anti-Spyware
-Ad-Aware (free) http://www.lavasoft.com/
&
-Malwarebytes (free) http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button
Run scans once you have downloaded the programs to help clean out your computer, and then keep them on your computer and enable live-protection to stop your computer becoming infected again.
I also urge you not to download Norton Anti-Virus (you have to pay anyway). It can cause huge problems with installation, removal and updates. Also, I woldn’t advise using Spybot S&D, too much RAM usage for too little protection. Super Anti-Spyware is good, but Malwarebytes is quicker and more user friendly. The programs I have suggested will protect you fine, you dont need more. You should also not download two or more anti-virus programs that have live protection, as this can cause security issues.
Hope all this helps =]
Good luck
Graham
