What Antivirus Software Do You Recommend?
twitter.com - facebook.com - During live calls recently, one person asked my opinion on the best anti-virus program to use. I always defer this question to my assistant, Kat. She is a five-year Microsoft MVP in Consumer Security. What security software do you use? chris.pirillo.com

The best antivirus software? Common sense.
Comodo Internet Security Premium (free) is the only security suite that’s worth a damn. Everything else is misinformation.
All i need is AVG 2011 and Malwarebytes..
@mastergx1 I agree about Norton. Biggest piece of shit I’ve ever used. Even worse than Adobe Reader.
Microsoft Security Essentials
Microsoft Security Essentials is AWESUM - its FREE, it does NOT slow down the machine and seems to catch WAY more viruses in the act aswell. Amung others Ive used: ESET (NOD32) was good but expensive, Kaspersky and Mcafee are both awful as they slow the machine down BIG TIME and can’t even catch 5 year old trojans but:
MY TOP PRIZE FOR THE CRAPPIEST ANTIVIRUS IN MY EXPERIANCE GOES TO..
NORTON ANTIVIRUS (Multiple versions)
Slow, Greedy, Large & Could’nt Spot a Virus to Save it’s Skin!!!
Norton 360 best Anitvirus software ive used
@EazyeCPT9x hey are you blind?? its antivirus not OS
MSE, Spybot (only for the web immunization), and Malware bytes. I never find much of anything tho because i also use the best form of AV available, my brain.
I dual boot windows 7 on an Imac and use AVG free which has served me and my parents for over 5 years now not a single virus only warnings it caught, cleaned or got rid off. Norton: I got a trojan(which AVG found), Macaffe: I got a worm (which AVG found), Windows live one care = shit. I use AVG free on windows 7, but I only use windows for games and all my important data in on macs.
@everettlamb84
That’s funny. Windows Live One care anyone?
@MegaHolymoly yeah it does!
@TheSwitijs Does 5.0 really slow it down? I have the 4.8 version right now, thanks for telling me that.
@bradgonewild Pirate bay is your friend (;
Avast!
Trend Micro

NOD32 is best
AVG

@MarrkDaviid AVG is one of the best, it’s top 3, while avast is top 1, AVG is good and the only problem is it detects some .exe files as malware
wowowowowowow ESET all the way
Avg is reliable and my choice.

AVG kinda poor
