i use trend PC-cillin, i have used it for years, it works well and has a very low system load.
I’ve been using Webroot Antivirus with AntiSpyware for years, it has worked wonders for me. There are many features that would take a while to describe, but some features are automatic sweeps/updates/backups, shields, your choice of a full/quick/custom sweep of your computer, and much more!
If you want to look into this virus protection, visit the website:

I hope i helped!

It’s better to stop thinking “antivirus” programs will protect you.
Instead you should:
1. Set up and use almost exclusively a limited user account.

2. Google the phrase “social engineering” and read the first five results.

3. Install Windows updates automatically.

4. Use Firefox with the NoScript extension.

5. Turn off autorun in Windows:

That’s a good way to protect a Windows computer. It’s a very similar process for Linux and Mac, except that the latter two don’t need a limited user account, since they already have a proper privilege escalation process in place (better than the UAC in Vista).
Basically, you need layered privileges, system updates, and common sense.
